Chef Luis Segura was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and began cooking at a young age, always wanting to be a chef. Graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu, he honed his skills at a variety of restaurants in Chicago before moving to Finger Lakes New York with the pursuit of extending his knowledge into the world of wine making. There he acted as the assistant winemaker for Zugibe Vineyards and collaborated with Master Sommelier Christopher Bates for the opening of his restaurant group. Back home in Chicago, Luis worked in Michelin star kitchens under Grant Achatz and Iliana Regan with The Alinea Group and Elizabeth Restaurant respectively. He joined Boka Restaurant Group in 2019 as the Executive Chef of The Kennison and JParker. Chef Luis Segura brings his expertise and unique style to deliver the best seasonal dishes and contemporary American menus that appeal to the foodie in everyone.
