Dr. Ramsay L. Fuleihan, MD is the clinical director of the Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology and a professor of pediatrics at Columbia University. Throughout his career his main research interest has been the pathogenesis and treatment of primary immunodeficiency diseases.
Previously, he was the chief of the division of allergy and immunology at Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar. He also served as an Attending Physician at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and as a Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Additionally, he served as the Director of Primary Immunodeficiency Clinical Services, the Jeffery Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies, Lurie Children’s Ambulatory Infusion Center, and the Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Program at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Formerly, Dr. Fuleihan served as an Attending Physician at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and Yale University School of Medicine in Connecticut. He earned his medical degree at American University of Beirut in Lebanon, completed his pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Children’s Hospital-Boston at Harvard Medical School.
He is a member of several professional organizations including the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) where he served as Chair of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee, the European Society for Immunodeficiencies, the Society for Pediatric Research, and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology where he served as the Chair of the Primary Immunodeficiency Committee. He also serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Dr. Fuleihan is honored to serve on the Bounce Board of Directors.
