Jami Guthrie elected to three year term on Bounce Board of Directors

(June 08, 2016)—Bounce Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Jami Guthrie, Vice President of Consumer Insights and Business Analytics at SC Johnson, to a three-year term on its Board of Directors. Ranging from Research Executive to Vice-President, Global Consumer & Market Insight and Integrated Marketing, Jami has held various senior leadership positions during his decades of experience in consumer and market research. Jami’s deep skills in customer insight, marketing strategy, and leadership in fast-paced corporate environments allow him to be an innovator and keep ahead of the competition. He brings these skills and more to Bounce Children’s Foundation where he plans to focus on building insight into where Bounce should focus its resources for maximum impact. Jami’s passion was evident as he shared this: “There are so many great people in this world that are looking for ways to help out and pay it forward. When I first was exposed to the mission for Bounce, I found it so inspiring and compelling, and I knew it would resonate with so many great people. I’m excited to see the impact that Bounce will have in the lives of these young children and their families as we get the word out.” Jami began his career as a Senior Research Executive of Millward Brown Inc. and has worked for numerous large-scale global companies including Quaker Oats, PepsiCo, and Wrigley on a plethora of nationally and internationally recognized brands. He is known for leading the charge in helping businesses stand out in their respective marketplaces while also running as efficiently as possible. Jami has skills in customer insight, marketing strategy, and leadership in fast-paced corporate environments that allow him to be an innovator and keep ahead of the competition. “Jami’s marketing expertise and experience growing organizations will be very helpful to Bounce.  And he has a true passion for improving the lives of chronically ill children, noted Bounce Board Chair and KPMG Partner, Corey Martens.  “We are delighted to welcome to the Bounce family and our Board of Directors and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our ability to reach out to new audiences and grow.” Jami graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, before going on to the DePaul University Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business to earn his MBA in Marketing in 1998. Additionally, Jami has been a member of the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research, University of Wisconsin from 1999 continuing today.

Bounce Children’s Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which creates community with, for, and around, critically and chronically ill children and their families. This is done through hosting various events and providing services which connect families with ill children and assist them in whatever they may need. Bounce seeks to make life a little easier for families with chronically ill children and provide hope within the harsh realities many face. The board of directors serves as a support and backbone for the organization’s mission. The Board makes and implements important decisions in order to further the cause and advance the foundation.
