Inspiring others to join the cause comes easily to Pete when he found an organization he could truly get behind.

Emerging Leaders Board (ELB) Chair and member of the Board of Directors, Pete Delneky, truly believes in Bounce Children’s Foundation, so much so that he’s willing to lend his name and professional reputation to the group. “When you see the impact Bounce has on our kids, their excitement, their sense of relief, it’s truly moving.  I love knowing the fun and friendships they share motivate them to get through the difficult times.  Bounce is something they look forward to – a break from yet another treatment or hospital visit. When I convey that message to my friends and colleagues, they can’t help but get excited” explains Pete who actively recruits new volunteers to events and other talented professionals to join the ELB. Pete has learned that attending a Bounce Bash®, and seeing firsthand the good Bounce does, is all it takes to make prospective board candidates clamor to join. It’s hard to quantify the benefit we provide the kids and their families because we’re not a singular, research based organization – but when you attend an event and see the joy and excitement on their faces, its clear the benefit is real and immeasurable. In addition to valuing the connection to Bounce kids and families, he also takes notice of the connections between board members. “Our engagement level within both the Board of Directors and the Emerging Leaders Board is outstanding – and the teamwork across the two is second to none, especially for such a young organization.
