JONI WILLIAMS ELECTED TO BOUNCE CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION® BOARD OF DIRECTORS
DEERFIELD, Ill. (Aug. 4, 2017) – Bounce Children’s Foundation® (Bounce), a not-for-profit organization supporting children battling chronic illness, and their loved ones, has elected Joni Williams to the Board of Directors. Ms. Williams serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kelly Scott Madison (KSM), a media marketing agency built to drive change.
At KSM, Ms. Williams drives the organization in remaining a marketing and advertising marketplace leader, instilling company qualities such as: client-orientation, quality-obsession, challenge-hungry and diversity-embracing.
Prior to assuming the presidency in 2006, Ms. Williams served as KSM’s Executive Vice President of Business Development for 12 years, having joined the firm as an Account Executive.
“Joni is able to orchestrate creative solutions that drive growth and manage step-by-step performance to deliver the utmost quality,” said Joan Steltmann, chief executive officer, Bounce Children’s Foundation. “Joni will be an invaluable partner in driving Bounce forward to help more kids and families.”
Ms. Williams uses innovative and tactful approaches to solve media challenges at KSM. The strategic future of her agency is at the forefront of her work.
“Joni is an innovator who is able to motivate and inspire those around her, always exceeding expectations,” said Corey Martens, board chair, Bounce Children’s Foundation, and partner, Grant Thorton LLP’s U.S. Forensic Advisory Services. “I am excited to see Joni’s positive impact on our outreach and our ability to grow Bounce.”
“When I learned about Bounce Children’s Foundation and its mission, it immediately resonated with me and I knew I wanted to play a role in its growth,” said Ms. Williams. “I am very proud to join this organization and I am looking forward to working with like-minded people who share my passion for helping children.”
Ms. Williams graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, proof that visionary business leaders do not follow one singular path.

Bounce Children’s Foundation® (Bounce), a Chicagoland not-for-profit organization, transforms the lives of chronically ill children, and their families, shifting all from surviving to thriving. Offering a variety of ongoing home and community-based programs, Bounce is unique in filling a vital gap in the overall network of care for the 15-18 percent of children who battle chronic illness. Combatting a deep sense of invisibility and extreme isolation, the Bounce community provides fun and friendship, education and resources, hope and encouragement, and a place to belong – until cures are found. Currently, Bounce helps over 900 members, including chronically ill children, their healthy siblings, and their parents, build the resilience needed to live happier, healthier lives. One hundred percent privately funded, Bounce is offered free of charge. And, while there is no income requirement, many members are low income and all face extraordinary out-of-pocket medical costs.
