BOUNCE CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION® RECEIVES A FOUR-STAR RATING FROM CHARITY NAVIGATOR
Deerfield, IL (Nov. 14, 2022) – Bounce Children’s Foundation® announced today that, in its first year of eligibility, it received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the world’s largest evaluator of nonprofits. Charity Navigator empowers donors of all sizes with free access to data, tools, and resources to guide philanthropic decision-making.
“Families raising children forced to battle chronic illness deserve the highest level of quality support. Earning a four-star rating from Charity Navigator is proof that Bounce is meeting that need,” says Joan Steltmann, Bounce Founder & CEO, “The validation and visibility of achieving Charity Navigator four-star status will also help us raise the funds necessary funds to transform the lives of even more children and families.”
Through Charity Navigator ratings, nonprofits are equipped with the nonprofit sector’s premier trust indicator and a powerful platform to raise awareness and funds. The Charity Navigator Encompass Rating System™ provides a comprehensive analysis of charity performance across four key domains called “beacons,” which include Impact & Results, Accountability & Finance, Leadership & Adaptability and Culture & Community. Eligible charities receive a zero to four-star star rating — determined by the weighted sum of the organization’s individual beacon scores. A four-star rating means the organization exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards across almost all areas.
Bobby Lucas, office managing partner, Dinsmore & Shohl, LLC and Bounce Board Chair, added, “A four-star rating is the highest recognition a charity can receive from Charity Navigator and it is a testament to the incredible work of our Bounce team, our volunteers, and our community.”
