Bounce Back Kits®

themed family care packages that distract and reduce stress

When doctor’s order and/or medical necessity cause ‘shut-in,’ boredom, frustration and anxiety quickly set in for all.  Children battling chronic illness face repeated rounds of lengthy stays at home such as before surgery, after treatment, during flare-ups, etc.  To break the monotony of being “locked-in” and combat cabin fever, Bounce Back Kits are themed, often for holidays, and contain fun-filled, spirit-boosting activities.

Bounce Back Kits contain fun items for the entire family like:

  • Books & Magazines
  • Board Games
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Decorations
  • Coupons
  • Gift Cards
  • STEM Education Activities
  • DVD’s & Movies
  • Recipes
  • Brain Teasers
  • Healthy Snacks
  • Something just for Mom & Dad
  • Provide a Valuable Sense of Stress Relief, Distraction, and Togetherness
  • Encourage Playful Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Calm Coping
  • Ready-To-Go Activities ease Pressure and Guilt for Parents
  • Create Joy & Laughter that Build Resiliency

All Bounce families are automatically enrolled in the Bounce Back Kit program and are eligible to participate in the next round of Bounce Back Kits.

When families join the Bounce community, they receive their first Bounce Back Kit as a welcome to Bounce.  They will also receive themed Bounce Back Kits throughout the year (i.e.: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Super Bowl, Fourth of July (Independence Day), Halloween, National Pizza Party Day, Thanksgiving, and much more).

Absolutely nothing!  All Bounce programs and services, including Bounce Back Kits, are offered free of charge to members.

At this time Bounce does not send Bounce Back Kits by request, but is in the process of creating an extension to the program where Bounce families can request Bounce Back Kits during times of specific need.

Membership is available to all families with a child, under the age of 18, who has been diagnosed with a chronic disease and/or permanent injury, regardless of socioeconomic status.   When a child is diagnosed, the entire family is diagnosed, so we welcome – and serve – the entire family.  (NOTE: all family members must live in the same household.)  To join, simply complete our application.

There are a number of ways you can support Bounce Back Kits, including:
