Alan Farkas is a partner at SmithAmundsen, LLC where he concentrates on aviation law and commercial litigation. Alan has been actively involved in the aviation industry for 30 years including his service as Chairman of the Legal Advisory Council and member of the Government Host Committee, both of which are part of the Experimental Aviation Association. Alan also served on the Board of the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association Education Foundation for over ten years, and has been actively involved in many other aviation organizations.
Alan also served two terms (8 years) on the Board of Trustees for the Village of Deerfield. In his free time Alan enjoys motorcycling, stand-up paddling, skiing, travelling, and live music. Alan holds a B.A. from the University of Denver and a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri.
